The Sign In page is the door to the Dolfin Team Area for Dolfin parents, swimmers and coaches. You need a User ID and password to enter. Your User ID is your first name and last name separated by one space.

If this is your first time to the Dolfin Team Area you can request a password, provided you supplied an email address when you filled out your work card. If your name is found as a swimmer or parent in the Dolfin roster and a parent supplied an email address, a random password will be generated and sent to that email address. You can also use this feature if you forget your password.

phdswim.com is viewed with an internet browser over the internet. Not all browsers are alike. Features vary from browser to browser. The Dolfin Team Area is designed for Netscape Release 4.0 and greater and Microsoft Internet Explorer Release 4.0 and higher. The Dolfin Team Area was developed using Netscape Release 4.7.

The resolution of your display screen should be set at 800x768 or higher. Javascript must be enabled in your browser to use the "Go" dynamic menu feature. Cookies must be enabled.

The Dolfin Team Area is for Pleasant Hill Dolfin swimmers, parents and team officials. You will find meet and other activities under the Calendar link. The contacts link has team officials and activity coordinators. You can find other team members under the Roster link. You can exit the team area and return to www.phdswim.com in two ways. Click Public Pages to exit without signing out. You will remain signed in for about 20 minutes, then you will be automatically signed out. If you return while still signed in by using the back button or a bookmark, you will not have to sign in again.

Parents can also update their own information by clicking the appropriate link in the description below the Roster link/title. "Update your own info" allows you to view and change your contact information. "Work preferences" allows you to view and change your preferred volunteer assignments. "Vacation Dates" allows you to indicate dates you cannot help out and dates your swimmer(s) cannot compete. Be sure to contact the "Vacations person" too. Finally, "meet assignments" shows your family's future volunteer assignments.

Once you select a meet, activity or roster family, it's remembered until you change it as long as you are signed in. For example, if you leave a meet screen to go to the roster, then return, the same meet will be displayed. If you return to the roster screen, the same family will be displayed.

The "Go" graphic in the upper corner of the page is a special area. If you move your cursor over the graphic, a menu will fold out. Use this feature at any time to jump from page to page without returning to the home page.

And you have discovered the helpful Dolfin. Click it to see help for any page.

You can change months either by clicking the name of the month at the bottom of the page or through the "Go button".  Once the month is changed, it will be remembered throughout your sign in session until it's changed.  The "Home" button will take you to the  "Dolfin Team Area" page.

You can find any team family or swimmer using the Roster screen. Enter the first or last name of the swimmer or parent you want and click the "Search" button. You don't have to enter the whole name. Often just the first few letters of a last name will narrow the search to just a few families. Once you have found the family you want, click the appropriate action button. The "View" button takes you to the "Contact Information" screen for the selected family.

The Family Information screen shows contact information for team members and parents. Future volunteer assignments are shown to parents viewing their own info.

Each family with a Dolfin swimmer is a member of the Pleasant Hill Dolfin Parent Club. The Parent Club runs fund raisers and organizes all swimming meets and other team functions (age group parties, waterslide trip, etc.) The Parent Club provides this web site and is building the snack shack at the east end of the pool. The success of the Dolfin team is due in large part to the volunteer efforts of Dolfin famillies working through their parent club.

The Parent Club Board schedules, appoints activity coordinators and oversees all these functions. Board members are not exempt from participating in team events and activities. You will see your board members volunteering at swim meets (in the snack shack, announcing, team sales, etc) and social events (Awards Night, etc.). Board member duties are in addition to team member volunteer responsibilities.

Your board meets about once a month at the Rec & Park Office. Any Parent Club member can attend. If you wish to voice a concern (or bring something to the Board's attendtion) at the meeting, contact the board president ahead of time to add your topic to the agenda. Of course, if your matter is urgent, don't wait for a meeting but contact a board member immediately.

Most board positions are elected. A few are appointed by the board. Each family has a vote toward the election of board members. Elections are held at the Awards Night event. If you are interested in running for a board position, contact the board president or other board member during the swim season to add your name to the ballot.

These are your Dolfin Coaches. Contact your swimmer's coach if your child has been entered in a meet and can't make it or if you have a question or concern about how your child is being coached. But please do not interrupt coaches during practice sessions. And contact the Parent Coach Liaison for other questions or concerns.
